Descrizione Modeling of laser-particle interaction using open-source, Monte Carlo based tools (Particle-in-Cell method).
The first step will be the reproduction of literature results obtained for similar applications.
Then the candidate will develop a new model to address the problem of laser-particle interaction for the radioisotope production.
As a second step, if experimental data from Italian/European new laser facilities will be available, the validation of the new model will also be pursued.
