Thesis type NUMERICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis concerns the modeling problem related to mixed masonry buildings with reinforced concrete inserts. The approach to these types of buildings is not yet fully codified for the purposes of modeling and safety checks. The thesis involves first the detailed modeling of one or more existing buildings in masonry / reinforced concrete, the evaluation of the response in the presence of seismic actions. Subsequently, the simplified modeling criteria (eg equivalent frame modeling) and their adherence to the more refined modeling are tested. Finally, considerations are made about the most suitable modeling approaches and seismic verification criteria.
