Description The determination of the repose angle for various geomaterials (rocks, soils, granular materials, debris, dumps, chips, flours, silo materials, waste, crushed particles) could seem immediate but the parameters that influence this characteristic are various (grain size, compaction, contact angle, saturation, temperature) and involve features like stability, analysis, safety. This study is promoting these aspects in a complete mode, both experimental and by modelling, with emphasis on specific engineering consequences.
