Description The thesis activity will be carried out at the hygrometric primary laboratory at National Institute of Metrological Research (I.N.Ri.M.).
The candidate will update the experimental set-up that is now used to control the primary humid gas generators. The activity, which has been already planned by I.N.Ri.M., will be led by the head of the laboratory.
Main activities:
installation of new devices for measuring and monitoring the influence quantities (pressure, gas flow, temperature);
communication tests between existing and new devices through standard buses (RS-232, RS-485, LAN, GPIB, USB in VCP) and integration of a multi-interface commercial HUB with the aim of avoiding wired links;
functional tests of the installed devices and communication tests between the devices and a control PC;
drafting of a technical report that includes a schematic representation of the system;
metrological verification before and after the system update.
