Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The proposed topic is part of a major project, which ultimate goal is the development of a novel Machine Learning (ML) - based strategy to control articulated hand prostheses.
The student will be presented with the task of developing a computer software for real-time visualisation of the output generated by the ML algorithm. This interface will be used to provide visual feedback to subjects. The design process of the interface will include the management of the MEACS technology (developed at Politecnico di Torino) for real time acquisition of high-density surface EMGs. The extension of the interface to provide electrical stimulation as feedback will be take in consideration as well.
The thesis will be conducted in collaboration with the University of Oxford, UK.
