Thesis type MASTER THESIS
Description Vinblastine is a vinca alkaloid approved for the treatment of various types cancer, including neuroblastoma, breast, and testicular cancer. Several studies have highlighted that vinblastine acts as a microtubule-disruptive agent by inducing a conformational change to the tubulin heterodimer and inhibiting microtubule growth. In this context, this MSc thesis aims at characterizing the interaction between vinblastine and tubulin and the consequent supposed conformational changes through molecular modeling techniques.
For further information about the proposed work, please contact via email directly Prof. Marco Deriu (marco.deriu@polito.it), inserting in CC the PhD student Marco Cannariato (marco.cannariato@polito.it).
