Thesis type IN A COMPANY
Description This thesis takes place in the context of Domo, a university spinoff, which aims to bring to market some innovative solutions developed in the European Horizon Europe project called SIFIS-Home (https://www.sifis-home.eu).
The aim of this thesis project (which can be carried out by 2 or 3 students) is to apply the entire software development process (from the definition of requirements to the acceptance test phase) for the realisation of a multi-platform application (web/mobile) designed for home automation system designers. The designer will be able to position the necessary IoT devices within a building plan and, in addition to obtaining a helpful list for purchasing the material, will then be able to complete the onboarding procedure of the devices installed on the gateway.
Students will then have to:
- identify the technologies that are best suited to the context described above;
- define the steps needed to complete the device onboarding procedure (reading QRCodes, defining the data to be sent to the gateway, how to send data to the gateway, etc.);
- apply the software development process (Analysis, Requirements, Design, Implementation, Unit Test, Acceptance Test).
The students need to have passed the exam of the following courses: Information Systems, Software Engineering, Software Engineering II, Web applications, and Mobile Application Development.
Required skills Web and mobile development
