Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The graduate student will be involved in the development of catalysts for electrolysis of water in acid medium to be implemented in PEM type electrolysers. Then, she/he will work in the test of catalysts for the oxidation of water (containing innovative catalysts synthesized in our laboratories or from companies operating in the electrolysis sector).
Different materials characterization techniques will be used for their physico-chemical analysis. Furthermore, different analytical tools will be employed for electrochemical tests and analysis of reaction products.
The experimental activities will take place at the SOLAR FUELS LAB, at DISAT, and concern ongoing activities on European and industrial projects with European and American companies.
Required skills Knowledge of: materials, catalysis, electrocatalysis, characterization of porous materials is higly appreciated.
Notes The availability to work in multidisciplinary teams and the writing of the thesis in English is required.
