Description Nowadays, monitoring muscular activity requires innovative solutions to evolve toward wearable long-term applications. Indeed, while the usage of inertial units and electromyographic sensors is well established in standard research and medical use, the involved devices often require constant supervision by the medical staff and/or bulky equipment in the near environment.
This thesis will aim to design a mobile application able to collect muscular information from the acquisition nodes the MiNES group has already developed and tested, in order to make the system suitable also for outdoor activities and daily living routines, without needing medical monitoring.
Once the app is developed and tested, the candidate would be required to handle data throughput and manage data saving, locally or on the cloud. Furthermore, preliminary analyses on the acquired signal could be integrated into the newly developed storing device, to reduce data volume and enable real-time applications of the device.
