Descrizione The Secure Boot ensures that the authenticated program runs on the system. It is crucial verifying the execution code integrity to guarantee that no malicious software runs. This dominant technique has to pay a high cost in terms of time and processing power. Especially the computational time is critical in automotive safety-critical controllers. The reason is driven by the real-time requirements that give a limited time to complete the integrity check on the on-chip system’s memory. On one side, functional safety systems restrict security checks. On the other hand, the system shall guarantee high-security levels for its runs. The cryptography primitives are the main contributor that enlarge the bootstrap time even if hardware accelerators are in use. The student shall develop a Fast Secure Boot (FSB) that won’t be based on cryptography using advanced techniques, such as High performers Counter (HPC) and Machine Learning (ML), continuing to guarantee the same level of security reached by today’s standard Secure Boots.
