Description Analysis of the communication between the electric vehicle (EV), including battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), and the electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). Application layer messages definition to support the electricity power transfer between an EV and an EVSE and consequently the energy feed into National grid.
The goal of the thesis is to develop test-cases software using an EV simulator and an EVSE, to verify communication messages protocol and sequences exchanged are in accordance with ISO15118-20 standard including also EN61851-1 and EN61851-23.
The solution shall also include the evaluation and the use of machine learning algorithms to solve the tasks.
Required skills Programming languages, power electronic, energy transfer concept.
Notes The thesis shall be carried at TUV Rheinland Italia laboratories, which are located in Pogliano Milanese (MI).
A typical duration of 6 months is foreseen for this thesis activity.
