Description The aim of this thesis is the application of a digital optic method, the Digital Image Correlation (DIC), for the static analysis of multilayered composite and sandwich beams under different load cases and boundary conditions. The thesis activity contemplates a comparison of the experimental results with those obtained by using existing numerical models.
