Description Rotating structures are widely used in many turbomachinery applications like turbine blades, helicopter blades and wind propellers. The recent tendency towards higher efficiency and performance has made these structures more prone to experience large displacements. While the computational cost of the dynamic analysis of Geometrically nonlinear structures is prohibitive particularly in design stage. So the simplified models of these structures like two-dimensional beams could be very advantageous for related industries and also for further studies of more complicated phenomena in academia. In this project, the geometrical nonlinear co-rotational formulations of rotating beams are developed and coded in Python program. Different simulations (Modal, Non-linear static, large transient vibration) are performed and validated using a commercial finite element software (ANSYS).
