Description The study proposes to interface the outputs coming from CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) type simulations built for fire dynamics simulations for structures and infrastructures with the verifications of the structures subjected to the different load configurations also in dynamic regime. In articulate, it is intended to evaluate the distribution of thermal variations to which the different structural elements are subjected in relation to the "reconstruction" of the evolution of the fire phenomenon.
Simulations related to the thermal curve as a function of time and the distribution of hot smoke are now the basis for the verification of the resistance of structures during the development of all phases of fire. The ultimate goal of the research will be the construction of a self-produced code capable of performing the verification required by the regulations and at the same time to study in a parametric way the fire verification of each constituent element of the structural system. The approach for risk analysis of structures subjected to flames and hot smoke based on CFD and FEM type simulations will also be analyzed.
