Description Electric vehicles are usually born connected both internally (CAN network) and externally (GSM channel). Currently the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) requirements enforced by government agencies do not cover electric vehicles but the OBD port allows an easy physical connection to the vehicle CAN network.
The scope of the proposed activity is to develop a Connectivity board to broadcast over a standard GSM channel the most relevant data of the electric vehicle powertrain, in particular for what the battery State-of-Charge (SoC) and State-of-Health (SoH) is concerning both the vehicle user (using a standard mobile phone) and the vehicle maintenance system (based on the Unified Diagnostic Services - UDS protocol).
