Descrizione Vehicle Electric Retrofit is a perfect example of up-cycling Circular economy: re-use the existing vehicle replacing the internal combustion engine with a fully electrical powertrain.
The Battery Pack is probably the most challenging component of any electric vehicle. To fit it into an existing vehicle is even a grater challenge in order to adapt the battery pack shape and volume to the available spaces of the existing vehicle with a sound mechanical and electromechanical approach.
The scope of the proposed activity is to design, prototype and test a fully modular battery pack with reconfigurable cell modules sharing a common electric and software management. Several new concepts of cell assembling, interconnenction and management are to be developed, in particular from the mechanical point of view.
