Description A FE model of a simple bladed disk will be proposed to which a recently developed new reduction technique (SMART) will be applied to reduce the matrices for calculating the dynamic response of the disk.
The thesis will consist in the application of the SMART technique using ANSYS to generate the model and the necessary data, and matlab to apply the reduction technique.
The codes written in matlab are already available.
Required skills A good knowledge of Matlab and possibly a basic knowledge of Ansys is requested.
