Description Smart agriculture, also known as precision agriculture or digital farming, is an innovative approach that leverages advanced technologies and data-driven methodologies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in agricultural practices. By integrating real-time monitoring and data analytics, smart agriculture enables informed decision-making and improved agricultural outcomes.
One of the key components of smart agriculture is the utilization of IoT devices and sensor technology, which enables the collection of real-time data from the field. In the thesis, the primary objective is to develop an IoT application capable of efficiently managing and processing the data gathered by these sensors. In particular, a basic requirement consists in the development of a comprehensive system for storing all the collected information in a shared database, while also facilitating continuous monitoring of the crops.
The second part of this thesis focuses on the analysis of the collected data. Specifically, the aim is to develop sophisticated analysis algorithms for sensor calibration and correlation pattern extraction. By analyzing the data, these algorithms will contribute to the accurate calibration of sensors, ensuring that the measurements obtained are reliable and precise. Furthermore, the algorithms will facilitate the extraction of meaningful patterns and correlations from the collected data, providing valuable insights into crop performance and environmental factors.
