Design of a low-frequency biomedical signal acquisition front-end in 180nm CMOS based on Time-Multiplexed Digital Differential Amplification

keywords ANALOG DESIGN, ANALOG IC DESIGN, BIOSIGNALS ACQUISITION, CMOS, INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DESIGN

Reference persons PAOLO STEFANO CROVETTI

Research Groups Advanced AMS and Power ICs

Thesis type DESIGN AND SIMULATIONS

Description The thesis aims to the development of a sub-mm size integrated circuit (IC) biosignal acquisition front-end operating at ultra-low power (order of 1 nW) and at ultra-low voltage (<0.4V), based on the innovative Time-Multiplexed Digital Differential Amplification acquisition technique, which makes it possible to meet the stringent application requirements in terms of accuracy, even in the presence of process, supply voltage and temperature (PVT) variations.

Required skills Excellent academic background, motivation to undertake challenging research activities in cutting-edge topics, analog and digital IC design fundamentals.
