Description This thesis work is developed in the framework of the European project ALTERNATIVE (https://alternative-project.eu/, coordinated by Prof. G. Ciardelli) that aims to the development of an in vitro three-dimensional model of the human cardiac tissue for chemical cardiotoxicity testing. The thesis aims to the design, fabrication and characterization of the 3D framework used for model development. These structures will be obtained through melt extrusion additive manufactuing of an ad-hoc synthesized polymer.
