Description A typical problem in high reliability relay based switching is the detection of contact stuck which can lead to impossibility to change relay state.
Detection through an auxiliary contact is sometimes possible, but it increases system cost.
This thesis aims to verify if ral time analysis of relay coil current, through either DSP algorithms, or through AI processing, is able to reliably detect contacts stuck.
Microcontroller and FPGA based solutions must be designed and implemented.
