Thesis type RESEARCH THESIS
Description This project focuses on the application of AI in optimizing energy usage and enhancing energy efficiency within the ICT infrastructure of smart manufacturing networks, including cloud, data centers, and IoT. Students will delve into advanced energy management systems that leverage AI algorithms to improve sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and optimizing energy usage within these networks. They will also explore how AI can support renewable energy sources like wind and solar power and facilitate demand-side management within smart grid systems integrated into the ICT infrastructure. The project will also investigate the role of AI in managing energy consumption in data centers and IoT devices, crucial components of a smart manufacturing network. By investigating this topic, students will gain a deep understanding of how AI drives innovation and revolutionizes the energy sector, particularly within the context of smart manufacturing networks. The research activities will be carried out at the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), China
