Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis project aims to develop and optimize photocatalytic technologies for the removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere, contributing to air purification at ambient temperature. The student will gain expertise in photocatalysis and air pollution reduction by focusing on the synthesis and characterization of innovative photocatalytic materials with high VOC and other contaminant (such as aromatic and chlorinated compounds) removal capacities. During the experimental work, analytical techniques will be used to investigate the physicochemical properties of the materials developed. Subsequently, the materials will be tested on a lab-scale photocatalytic setup to assess their catalytic activity, with the goal of determining their performance in VOC degradation and long-term operational stability.
