Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis concerns the evaluation of the polymerization kinetics and of the interfacial sealing of resin-based materials for dental restorations. Raman spectroscopy is used to evaluate the degree of conversion; optical coherence tomography and microCT are used to evaluate the continuity of the interfacial seal of dental adhesive materials. Studies will also be conducted in order to evaluate the degradation of these materials as a function of the interaction with the oral environment and subjected to thermal, thermomechanical and acid stimuli. Part of the research activity will be conducted at the Dental School (UNITO).
