Description The project will look at the optimization for the operation of charging stations for electric vehicles. The candidate will develop novel robust optimization methodologies (including affine recourse) and uncertainty models of vehicle's arrival times and electricity prices, in order minimize cost under the uncertainty of fluctuating electricity prices and drivers behaviors.
The Thesis will flank a current project activity with EDF (Electricité de France) and VinUniversity (Vietnam).
Relevant skills: good knowledge of machine learning and / or optimization, good programming skills (Matlab, Python); an interest in economic and business models is a plus.
