However, current automatic sign language recognition systems pose challenges due to complexity and high costs, limiting accessibility for the target community.
This research project focuses on developing an affordable, real-time sign language recognition platform, exploring cutting-edge techniques. The goal is to create a cost-effective and user-friendly solution that addresses the unique needs of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The research will be conducted on a Vision AI-oriented device chosen for its power efficiency and compatibility.
