Description Agriculture is highly exposed to climate change and meteorological extreme events. The management of such events and adaptation to changes require a quantification of the risk that is based on observations and physical and statistical modelling. At the same time, the study of tyhe impacts ofextreme events requires comparative analyses and quantitative indeces. The student is asked to analyze the impact of extreme events on agriculture and related economic aspects, through an approach that integrates numerical modelling, use of GIS and remote sensing data.
