Description This thesis work aims to explore the topic of energy efficiency applied to industrial buildings through Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology, to show the strengths and opportunities provided by interoperability between energy simulation tools. Starting with the development of a BIM model, Building Energy models (BEMs) for Process Energy Management (PEM) in industrial buildings will be obtained.
Through software interoperability, the student will also be able to test BIMtoBEM procedures, evaluating the interaction with IoT platforms to develop a Digital Twin of the factory, defining energy efficiency scenarios.
This topic falls within the scope of researching and studying innovative solutions from an Industry 5.0 perspective.
Required skills Digital parametric modeling, BIM, BEM, Database, Visual Programming (VPL)
