Description Earth observation is crucial for monitoring environmental changes, patterns, and natural disasters. This thesis explores the fascinating world of generative artificial intelligence, by applying these techniques to forest, river and rail monitoring ongoing projects.
We aim to enhance our image databases by generating synthetic data, in such a way as to lower the costs, and be able to train our models consistently and more robustly. This research presents a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge topic at the intersection of AI and environmental science.
Expected Outcomes:
- Improved Earth observation capabilities by generating high-resolution, multi-source data.
- Evaluation of the quality of the generated image set by applying the current AI models on them.
- Enhanced the ability to monitor specific, localised areas more effectively.
