Description This thesis proposes a bibliographic research focused on process optimisation techniques in the secondary agri-food industry, highlighting the importance of sustainability and quality in the design, maintenance, decommissioning and recycling phases. Through an in-depth bibliographic analysis, economic-engineering models capable of evaluating and optimising these phases will be explored, taking into account prognostic engineering, economic and sustainability aspects on both the product and process side. This thesis aims to provide a holistic and integrated vision of the challenges and possible solutions in a circular economy context.
