Description A new test field will be realised for real size tests on rockfall protection works. Tests will be carried out using cyclopean boulders impacting protection works equipped with monitoring tools; that will allow the acquisition of loads acting on each structural elements composing the work. The theses will concern numerical modelling with FEM codes that must faithfully reproduce the work in all its components and simulate the test conditions. The results will be compared with those acquired during the experiment and this will allow to validate the model and to use it, with parametric analysis, as a tool for the design and structural dimensioning of these works. This work will be developed with multiple thesis.
