Descrizione The proliferation of Software Defined Networking (SDN) has facilitated the decoupling of network control and data planes, allowing for more flexible and programmable network architectures. However, the efficient allocation of resources within the data plane, specifically targeting P4 switches, remains a challenge, particularly in dynamically changing environments with diverse application requirements.
This thesis will leverage intent-based networking principles to abstract the complex requirements of various applications into high-level intents or policies. A key feature of the proposed solution is its ability to dynamically split applications across multiple P4 switches based on their requirements and available resources. This dynamic allocation enables efficient utilization of resources while ensuring that each application receives the necessary bandwidth, latency, and processing capabilities.
