Thesis type NETWORK EMULATION, SIMULATION AND DESIGN
Description The thesis addresses a scenario with opportunistic and community-based mesh networks, which are supposed to complement the connectivity in rural areas in next generation cellular networks.
The aim of the thesis is to develop a framework to evaluate the performance of realistic opportunistic applications using kathara (https://www.kathara.org/) as network emulator. As main key achievement, Kathara will be extended to consider intermittent connectivity between the nodes, based on realistic mobility traces.
