Description This thesis is part of a research project carried out in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). It will consist of conducting a survey of companies producing storage, internal handling and warehouse picking systems for industrial plants. This survey, which will be carried out following a well-defined scientific methodology, is aimed at understanding how the three pillars of Industry 5.0, Sustainability, Human Centricity and Resilience, impact specific performance parameters of storage, internal handling and warehouse picking systems. Survey results will be analyzed with appropriate mathematical and statistical tools and sofware.
Duration: 6 months from activity start date. Start date: preferably September 2024.
Type of engagement: weekly work progress meetings with the PoliTo supervisor. Meeting with the TUM supervisor approximately monthly.
Especially recommended thesis for students who have not included the internship in their study plan or have already done it.

Required skills Logistics and supply chain management.
Knowledge, at least at a basic level, of mathematical-statistical calculation software, such as Matlab, Minitab, etc., is recommended.
Good knowledge of the Italian language, both written and spoken.
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
