Description The thesis is in the framework of the "Advanced Functionalized Electrospun Membranes for water treatment - AFEM" project, funded by the Unite! Seed Fund Initiative. Nanofibrous membranes will be produced using a sustainable electrospinning process. Micro/nanoparticles (e.g., graphene oxide) will be integrated into the polymer structure to provide antifouling properties. In addition, an ultrasonic process will be employed to further reduce microorganism accumulation and biofilm formation on the membranes during filtration.
The thesis will be conducted in collaboration with Université Grenoble Alpe - INP, and paied short-term secondments to Grenoble are planned to get training and conduct experiments in the laboratories of the project partner university.
