Object Detection and Tracking for Smart Waste Management

Description The thesis student will work on a computer vision project about recognizing urban waste from images. The project involves the development of an algorithm that allows one to identify all the objects in the scene and track their presence over time.
In detail, the thesis student will have to focus his work:
- in the review of the dataset made available by the company;
- in the development of a solution based on neural networks that achieve the objective (starting from state-of-the-art solutions);
- in the development of an algorithm validation routine.
The thesis student will have the company cloud available to develop the paper.
