Description This thesis project is for students interested in investigating the challenges and opportunities related to the expansion of collaborative robotics (cobots) toward wider deployment and accessibility.
Thesis Topic:
The thesis will focus on analyzing the current limiting factors and what is needed for a complete democratization of collaborative robotics. Currently, cobots are increasingly present in advanced industries and large companies, but there remain significant barriers to their wider diffusion, especially among small and medium-sized enterprises and in developing countries.
Thesis Objectives:
- Analysis of Current Status: To provide an overview of existing technologies in the field of collaborative robotics and current applications.
- Identification of Barriers: Examine the economic, technological, educational, and regulatory barriers that limit access to cobots.
- Analysis of Potential Areas for Development: Identify and analyze key factors that need to be developed or improved to facilitate wider adoption of cobots.
- Proposed Solutions: Formulate recommendations and strategies to overcome the identified barriers and promote greater democratization of collaborative robotics.
Required skills Good knowledge of English, essential for reviewing scientific literature.
