Descrizione Context of Application: The aviation industry is exploring Single-Pilot Operations (SPOs) to reduce operational costs amidst an anticipated shortage of professional pilots. To maintain high safety standards in a reduced-crew scenario, integrating automated assistance systems is crucial. A promising approach to virtual pilot assistance involves dynamically adjusting the level of automation based on real-time assessments of pilot behavior, comparing detected actions against established situational procedures.
Aim of the Thesis: As a step towards real-time task derivation, the primary goal has been to post-process and analyze data from a specific mission type to create a hierarchical task structure. This structure is then compared to a reference task workflow model to identify any deviations, such as missed or incomplete procedures or tasks.
Our intent is to improve the current Python-based tool that was developed with this goal in mind. The modularity of the code should be improved to achieve the goal of a portable application, as the next crucial step will be to integrate the system into the cockpit for real-time data analysis.
