Description The surfaces of materials can be modified through treatments aimed at modulating their topography, surface energy and providing functional groups.
The objective of the research activity is to perform plasma surface treatments on ceramics and glasses of different composition for bone tissue engineering, to confer antimicrobial properties and/or improve osteointegration, evaluating the characteristics of the surfaces obtained in terms of surface chemistry, wettability, roughness, surface charge, cellular and bacterial adhesion.
A part of the activity will be carried out at the IRIS S.r.l. company of Orbassano (TO).
