Description The thesis will take place in the Quality Control Department of Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT Industrial). Here, engines and parts come to be checked before warranty approval. Engine experts analyze the pieces and approve/reject the warranty payment from a technical point of view.
A new web portal, currently under development by an extern supplier, will support all the logistic steps of the good. The operators will insert data into the web portal and compile the correlated surveys. The thesis focuses on the following activities:
- architecture definition
- requirements collection with a global team
- supplier management
- developments management
- agile method application (organization of agile cerimonies)
- reporting of project status to management
- coordination of new requirements and bug fixing
Required skills The activity is predominantly related to Project Management in the information technology context. The thesis student must be competent in software architecture on cloud and web applications. In addition, experience with the agile method application is «nice to have.»
The project requests the attitude to cooperate with different teams/skills with a good approach. Besides, proactivity and a strong capability to organize/prioritize activities are considered preferable. The project requires good knowledge of the English language to read, write, and present technical content to a multilanguage community. Knowledge of any other language is considered preferable.
