Description The thesis project consists of designing advanced control algorithm of driving assistance system in electric vehicles. In details, the candidate will develop an advanced Model Predictive Control algorithm (Economic MPC) for minimizing the power delivered by the electric powertrain along a predefined driving cycle, while satisfying high standard in performance.
The thesis will be structured as follows:
- Study of the relevant bibliography on MPC and autonomous guidance.
- Development of the guidance and control algorithms.
- Simulation and algorithms validation in a high-fidelity environment.

Required skills - Excellent knowledge in automatic control.
- Automotive systems modelling.
- Matlab/Simulink.
