Thesis type DATA ANALYSIS
Description The thesis investigates change detection methodologies and multitemporal analysis of high-resolution data collected with drones in Tuscany coastal areas between 2021 and 2024. The candidate will study the morphological changes in coastal sand dunes using digital elevation models, variations in coastal vegetation distribution, and the relationship between these two elements. This multidisciplinary thesis project integrates techniques and knowledge from geomatics, remote sensing, GIS, and hydraulics. It is part of a broader research initiative to monitor coastal erosion along the Tuscany shoreline.
Required skills Basic knowledge of GIS and geomatics
