Description This research proposal focuses on the development of a Robust (Adaptive) Model Predictive Control (R(A)MPC) framework for cooperative Linear Time-Varying (LTV) systems. The primary objective is to extend the guarantees of existing R(A)MPC methodologies by incorporating a distributed approach, which can effectively handle both tracking and regulation tasks. In this context, assume that some complex or nonlinear system dynamics can be approximated by LTV models, allowing for more precise control over a broader range of operating conditions. The proposed R(A)MPC framework aims to achieve robust performance despite the presence of uncertainties and disturbances within the system, by leveraging real-time adaptation of the control policy. The research will explore how distributed control strategies can be employed to enhance system cooperation and coordination, while ensuring stability and convergence, even in the presence of significant modelling uncertainties.
