Description Polyamide 6 is one of the most industrially used products and plays a predominant role in the textile sector. Aquafil SpA (www.aquafil.com) is an Italian company with branches in many countries and leader in the production of PA6 and its recycling. For carpet applications, Aquafil has developed products that ensure good dyeability of the yarn and good resistance to dirt and stains by intervening in the polymerisation process; however, it is interested in investigating innovative stain-resistant processes to be applied either during extrusion/spinning or after spinning, as a finishing treatment. During the thesis work, strategies for modifying polyamide 6 will be studied by carrying out part of the activity in the company; material characterisations will also be required, which will also be performed at Politecnico
