Description This thesis explores the application of advanced image processing techniques to fuse thermographic (thermogram) and tomographic (tomogram) data for the inspection and quality control of components produced through additive manufacturing (AM). By combining these two distinct imaging modalities, the research aims to enhance the detection of internal defects. The study will focus on developing and evaluating algorithms for effective image fusion, ensuring accurate representation and analysis of the parts' structural and thermal characteristics. The fusion of thermograms and tomograms can offer a more comprehensive understanding of AM components, leading to more reliable predictions of their performance and durability in real-world applications.
