Thesis type MODELING AND SIMULATION
Description The thesis concerns the simulation of aerospace components using implicit modeling.
The technique, an alternative to traditional numerical modeling and based on the concept of 'field', represents the optimal solution for studying extremely complex geometries.
The activity aims to apply the implicit method to trabecular cell structures, evaluating their state of tension and deformation, in the presence of structural and thermal loads.
The use of a specific commercial software recently developed will be an integral part of the thesis, for which a theoretical and practical introduction to its use will be provided.
Required skills Basics of numerical modeling (the knowledge of a FEM software is useful but not essential)
Fundamentals of structural mechanics
Basics of aeronautic structures (optional)
