Description In a fusion reactor, various streams carry tritium, either as the primary component (e.g., in the exhaust system) or in trace amounts that require extraction (e.g., in the breeding blanket or tritium extraction system). Accurately computing the velocity field of these flows is essential for robust modeling of tritium transport. This thesis is developed in collaboration with Kyoto Fusioneering (KF), and foresees the improvement of a coupled CFD-tritium transport code (mHIT, COMSOL based) and a benchmark with case studies developed by KF by coupling OpenFOAM with FESTIM.
