Descrizione The target of the work is to develop, implement and test an innovative slip control system
that would improve performance and maneuverability of the vehicle, especially in low-grip
applications. Ideally, the student will be in charge of demonstrating the progressively
improving performance of the following methods:
• Slip control with no knowledge of friction coefficient.
• Slip control with computation of friction coefficient during high excitations.
• Slip control with a-priori knowledge of friction coefficient.
The implemented slip control must work both in traction and in braking, and it will be
introduced in a more complete control suite for a full-electric 4WD vehicle.

Conoscenze richieste Ideal candidate requirements are the following, but note that the approach, the willingness
to learn & develop, and the proactivity are still the best qualities:
• Automotive, Mechanical or Mechatronic master student.
• Used to work in Matlab/Simulink environment.
• Knowledge about vehicle dynamics and control system.
• Being part of a vehicle dynamics/control system department of a student team is considered a plus.
