Description Thermo-mechanical simulation of plastic additive components is essential for ensuring reliability and optimizing designs in the automotive and aerospace industries, while also reducing the need for costly and time-consuming testing. However, complex material behaviors and thermal variations pose challenges, making accurate predictions critical to meeting safety and durability standards. Several enhancements in Digimat ensure efficient and accurate modeling of additive materials. A powerful reverse engineering workflow in Digimat-MX now allows for easy calibration of phase material properties for additive manufacturing composites, enabling users to derive key properties like matrix density, stiffness, CTE, and composite microstructure from experimental data. This feature streamlines material property derivation for advanced additive manufacturing simulations in Digimat-AM, while Digimat-MS helps assess the thermo-mechanical and fatigue performance of these components.
