Description The project deals with the diagnostics and modeling of combustion process in IC engines running on gaseous fuel mixtures, with specific reference to CNG/H2 blends. The activities include both experimental dyno tests and theoretical activities about combustion modelling in a downsized (~ 1400cc) turbocaherged SI engine featuring a fast-burn combustion chamber. Specific attention will be paid to the diagnostic and modelling of burning speed for CNG/H2 operations.

Required skills Good knowledge of IC engine operation.
